On 28 November 2016, I had the privilege of presenting on 'The Role of Conflict-Affected Universities in Peacebuilding' to a delegation representing eastern Ukraine's conflict-displaced university rectors, professors and higher education policy advisors. Among the topics covered were ways in which universities can strategically engage in community psychosocial recovery, building institutional and community peace competencies, leading peace research, stimulating multi-stakeholder peace dialogues, modelling post-conflict scenarios, contributing to peace negotiations. The British Council in Ukraine that sponsored the delegation's week-long programme in Cambridge live-broadcast this and other presentations to an audience of over 1500 participants in Ukraine. I look forward to collaborating with these communities and institutions in the future.
